Drum Sergeant: Adrian Mordaunt

Drum Sergeant Adrian Mordaunt comes from one of the most successful drumming families in Ireland. Taught by his father, Ciaran Mordaunt, Adrian quickly rose through the competitive ranks.

At age 12 he won his first of two World Championship solo titles and was soon dominating international drumming competitions, winning the All Ireland solo title five times and medaling in nine World Championship events.

Success, however, was not limited to solo competition. Adrian has competed and won with some of the finest drum corps in the world, winning three All Ireland and three World Championship drumming titles with bands such as Ringaskiddy, Lord Edward’s Own, and the current World Champions, St. Laurence O’Toole.

In addition to pipe bands, Adrian is a professional drummer with the Dublin based rock band, MRNORTH. His band has recorded four albums, and has toured both Europe and the United States, playing concerts with Van Halen, The Who, and Live.
