Founded in January 2010 by friends from several area pipe bands, the NY Metro Pipe Band's goal is to provide a platform for the best pipers and drummers in the New York Metro area to compete at the highest possible level on the world stage.

Led by Pipe Major Michael Mahoney and Lead Drummer Adrian Mordaunt, NY Metro is committed to advancing our cultural heritage through musical excellence. The band has developed an extensive concert repertoire, which showcases all aspects of pipe band music in addition to the traditional March, Strathspey, and Reel, and the standard competition medley.

NY Metro wears the Ancient Red Gordon tartan and is outfitted exclusively by the Long Island Bagpipe Company. All of the band’s custom metal work is crafted exclusively by Caledonia Fine Arts Co.
